Campus Events That Foster Collaboration, Communication & Connections

While reunions tend to be more formal events planned annually, summer picnic parties or backyard BBQs are great for more informal get-togethers. Classmates, friends, coworkers, and neighbors love to gather when the weather cooperates and the entertainment flows.

Invite your friends and family to a picnic party this summer, where you can enjoy food, festivities and fun. Here are a few key ingredients to elevate your picnic and make it successful.

Location & Date

Depending on the crew you plan to invite, choose a convenient location and time for as many guests as possible. It may end up being a park nearby, someone’s backyard, or a rented venue. Determine if daytime works best or if the golden hour may be more accommodating to working folks.

Once you have the day, time and venue, you can start the real fun of planning a relaxing picnic for your crowd.

Plan the Essentials

While picnics tend to be free-flowing, it may be a good idea to plan some of the essential elements in advance, such as the menu, entertainment, and theme.

Choose a Theme

Guests can plan their dishes or decor around a themed concept. For instance, if you choose a carnival theme, guests may choose items like ice cream, popcorn, candy, cotton candy, hamburgers, hot dogs and more. A carnival theme often comes with a ring leader and carnival tents and games that Seacoast Events can provide.

For avid sports fans, Seacoast offers a wide range of sports entertainment themes, such as mini golf with our portable Putt Putt and Go course. For the competitive kind, one of our Giant Games will be ideal for all ages and skill levels. Choose from Jenga, Malpractice, Connect 4, Cornhole, Pop-a-Shot, or Twister.

Additionally, for the more mobility agile, games like our Larger Than Life Sports games can be fun for players and spectators. Try the Human Foosball, Pop-a-Shot, Axe Throwing, Curling, and Field Goal Challenge.

Pick Your Menu

Whether you want to go all out with catering for your picnic or ask that each person/family bring a potluck, the choice is yours. Make it extra special and coordinate your theme with menu choices.

Schedule Your Entertainment

We’ve already mentioned several fun activities for your picnic, like Larger Than Life Sports and Giant Games, but there is so much more to choose from at Seacoast Events. Check out our Movie Night services, Mini Melt Man ice cream, Archery Tag and photo booths that are a hit with all ages.

Talk to our team at Seacoast about what games and activities would best fit your crowd, and we will schedule your entertainment. We deliver, set up and break down at the end of your event, making it enjoyable for all.
