Company Activities
March has arrived and spring is just around the corner! It may be hard to believe with the cold temperatures and snow on the ground, but spring will soon be here. Now is the time to start planning those company outings!
Most companies do some type of summer activity with their employees. It may be as simple as a barbecue lunch or as elaborate as a two day trip to the Cape. Regardless of the size and scope of the event, there are details to be managed and work to be done.

Outsourcing these responsibilities to a third party, such as an event planner, is always a good idea! Some companies will rely on an internal member of there staff to do all the planning, coordination, set-up and clean-up. However, this is counterproductive. These added responsibilities take away from time this individual or individuals usually devote to their everyday responsibilities, the ones that help make the company a successful operation. Many of these same individuals feel resentment in the fact that they never get to enjoy the employee activities because they are always so busy planning and producing them. Just as their responsibilities are completed on the day of the event, the outing has come to an end and it is now time for them to cleanup.
Event planners, such as Seacoast Events, provide experience and expertise that are not available from internal staff members. Professional event planners plan, coordinate and produce events on a regular basis. They know how to manage all the details, preventing items from slipping through the cracks. They also provide a professional feel for your business event. Lastly, event planners often receive preferred dates for venues and discounted pricing from suppliers, as a result of the volume of business they do with these vendors. Seacoast Events extends these discounts to our clients, offsetting some of our service fees. In fact, in some cases the discounts have covered all of our service fees. In these cases the client has received professional event planning services for the same price that they would have paid if they were to have done all the planning and work themselves. Although this is not always the case, just think about the cost savings in terms of productivity!
Planning your company outing or special event? Call Seacoast Events! Our staff of professional event planners is always glad to prepare a proposal for your special event. We are also glad to offer potential clients a complimentary, no obligation consultation!
